As we go back to "normal" we should not go back to how things were

While we are all thrilled to be able connect and see others, we need to make sure we continue to see others.
Arguably, a benefit of the pandemic was it forced us to witness that which has been happening in our society for a long time (eg George Floyd). Corporations changed mission statements, hired speakers, and started trainings. Individuals joined book clubs and marched in the streets to demonstrate support. Good stuff but not nearly enough.
What are you doing to make sure the momentum continues? How are you genuinely demonstrating desire to engage in transformational change? It is so much more than the perfunctory checklist of to dos and passive attendance at events that may make us feel good.
My passion and commitment is to show up when the others have left. To facilitate understandings, break down concepts, empower individuals, and support transformational change. Doing "the work" is not always easy. Frankly, if you do it right, it shouldn't be. It is about being vulnerable and admitting there are lessons to be learned. Admitting that we don't know it all. It is about pushing through any pain and discomfort. It is about recognizing genuine diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is a journey not a destination.
We don't know what we don't know - but we can figure it out and learn to do and be better. I welcome any and all opportunities to help guide you on your journey.
